Day 022/365

Today was the last day of Daniel Kahneman on earth. Daniel Kahneman was a renowned psychologist and Nobel laureate in Economics, known for his work on behavioral economics and cognitive psychology, and of course his famous book, Thinking Fast and Slow. He is famous for his groundbreaking research on human judgment and decision-making, such as anchoring, availability bias and confirmation bias.

One of his most important findings was that people overvalue low probabilities and undervalue high probabilities.

Let’s celebrate his life with these 5 wisdoms:

1- We’re blind to our blindness. We have very little idea of how little we know. We’re not designed to know how little we know.

2- There’s a lot of randomness in the decisions that people make.

3- If you care about being thought credible and intelligent, do not use complex language where simpler language will do.

4- Nothing in life is as important as you think it is while you are thinking about it.

5- It’s a wonderful thing to be optimistic. It keeps you healthy and it keeps you resilient.
