Day 051/365

It took me two weeks to post after the AI & Emotional Learning Inaugural gathering by Miami AI Club to share its impact and why it was important.

It took Sara Zargaran, Erika Twani, Ankit Virmani and me months to prepare this, 6 months after AI & Cyberwar. Out of curiosity about what happens to the emotional learning of the next generation, which we are taking on a path of the unknown with many unforeseen circumstances related to AI and emotional learning. And specifically, what are the opportunities and risks?

Ashraf Hebela, CFA the head of startup banking and co-head of technology at J.P. Morgan who is an intellectual, flew from San Francisco to have a Chatham House meeting with me to share how, as a species, we’re seeking intelligence like bees seek the queen, and this will lead to a point in the future, the singularity point where AI and human intelligence are indistinguishable.

Dr. Susan Neimand a superstar lifetime educator with 50 years in the education sector, has been a teacher since before I was born, and now she talked about AI in a way that, as an AI scientist, I found myself wowed.

Francisco Moises shared insights from the world’s top tech and AI company when it comes to commitment. Dr. Paula Hopkins did a great job emphasizing the fact that small businesses are far behind in needing to capture the AI revolution, and mom-and-pop shops will be at a disadvantage again. Michael Mannino, MA, PhD won the hearts of the crowd with a great talk on the neuroscience of emotions and ethics. And great job Erika Twani in moderating the panel and with her mic-drop moment.

At the end, my friend Raymond Rodriguez-Torres shared the beautiful story of beautiful Bella, and how AI can transform not only childhood cancer treatment but also patients’ emotional learning. This was one of the most impactful speeches, and we have a recording of it from Private Dinner Series (link in comments).

My friend Dr. Pedro A Santos Acosta did a great job hosting us physically and emotionally, with his heart, being the master of the gathering.

Our company, Hummingbirds AI, the fastest and most natural intelligent authentication, sponsored the event. Great job, Paul Plofchan, CIPP US presenting Guacamole’s achievements and the exciting partnership with Intel.

This gathering was a roller coaster of emotions and emotional experiences: the fear of AI, the confidence in AI, the happiness with AI, the anger, and the sadness. Most importantly, it was intelligently and emotionally impactful, which is the most important metric.
