In Riyadh, I was invited by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia (MISA) to meet with a delegation from the Hong Kong Research and Technology Park – the world’s largest tech park with 2,000+ startups.
Impressively, this meeting was on a holiday, showing Saudi Arabia’s urgency to hit their 2030 goals, many of which they’ve already achieved 5 years early. The country has momentum like South Florida, and the future in biotech, R&D, and energy is as bright as the Arabian sun, just like the Miami sun.
With top talent-producing universities, including the top 3 in the region, Saudi Arabia has made huge investments into state-of-the-art hubs, including a semiconductor hub. Now, the country is transitioning from being the number one in the old energy economy to leading the new energy revolution, poising itself to become the epicenter for data centers and AI training.
The rapid progress I witnessed underscores the power of vision and strong leadership. Saudi Arabia is moving forward at an astonishing pace, and I’m excited to see what the country will achieve under its leadership, which is expected to place a major emphasis on AI and global collaboration.
Thanks Yusif A. Alghamdi, Abdulmajeed Alanazi , Afnan Ababtain and Dhary Al Rawaf. Looking forward to seeing you in Miami soon.
